Hello to all my readers.Last time we discuss some exercise which is beneficial and effective to our-self for keeping our body and mind healthy.
You might be thinking when did we discuss mind is healthy. Just for you, I am going to tell you about mental health by exercise and also we are going to discuss posture while doing exercise and also why/how to perform each exercise properly to reduce injury risk in the gym.
Nowadays people go to the gym and become prone to gym accident as they remain ignorant about the risk of an accident which can happen if workout and equipment not used efficiently.
First, let's move to our question about mental health. This is really simple yet complicated. All we need to do is provide healthy food and a good amount of oxygen to our brain. You might not know that with the life we live today, accompany us with less amount of oxygen in the brain. This happens because we never take deep breathe which results in acclimatizing to short breathe. So while exercising what happens is we breathe heavily as blood flow and heart rate increases. Due to which more oxygen is used by the brain and makes it more healthy and yes off-course when we go for a gym too with a certain goal we eat more healthy nutrients which help brain and mind fullness.
Micro-nutrients which brain needs are DHA, omega-3 fatty acid, antioxidants, and yes oxygen.
Studies have shown that mind muscle connection is important for better gains in the body. In short keeping, the mind is important for remaining healthy.
It is seen that mind plays an important role in keeping our body on feet. All actions are performed by the mind. It is the ALU of our body.
Studies have also shown that to attain peace of mind and mind fullness yoga is done. Yoga includes breathing exercise. Certain yoga poses allow heavy inhaling of oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide.
Poses require deep breathing and holding it for a while and exhaling repeatedly.
When we discuss workout same phenomenon works in the gym, with heavy lifting and hypertrophy exercise oxygen is more used by brain keeping it healthy and alert.
Now let us move on to the posture while working out. Keeping posture up to the mark leads to better muscle development and less prone to injuries.
As studies have shown that with inappropriate weight, posture is compromised which leads to injury and muscle development is altered. While loading weight keeping in mind that the load is to be controlled by muscle and not the load to control the body. Because when you control the weight properly muscle tissue is torn accordingly and with proper nutrition muscle growth is optimum. Controlling weight is important and for compound exercise, the spine should be erect and chest should be out.
Let's see the exercise Deadlift which requires proper posture. It requires proper spine movement with correct and erect spine throughout the movement. Knee position should be slightly bent, in order to be away from a knee injury when knees are at the lock position. Hands work as hinges just to hold the weight and to pull. To keep a note that with head position should be straight throughout the movement with respect to the spine as erect. Yes, breathing here should be done accordingly. One should inhale the air as much as possible and keep the torso tight before lifting weight and exhale slowly while lifting till bar reach the final possible.
Not to confuse readers, I did not discuss the feet position as deadlift can be performed with different feet position. Some of the deadlifts are; Sumo deadlift, Stiff-leg deadlift, and Romanian deadlift.
In the next writing, we shall discuss the various feet position for deadlift.
As many weight lifters confuse with deadlift as pulling exercise.
With proven studies, the deadlift is a pushing exercise as weight lifter trying to push the ground virtually which results in a reaction of lifting the weight below torso level.
So if we do not follow these rule/precaution we might find slight to severe pain in joint and back which might lead to major lumbar and knee problem.

That why it's been advised by all health care professionals to follow the best posture while doing the workout.
Hope you like this session and do read my other blog on the workout.
Thanks
